UT APICS Team Wins First Place in Regional Case Competition

On February 12th and 13th, UT APICS sent a team to the APICS Mid-Atlantic District Student Case Competition, held in Pittsburgh.  There were a total of seven undergraduate teams that competed, and our UT team took first place!  Our team had six members:

Michael Erney
Bethany Harding
Junjun Liu
Xin Ma

“This is wonderful news,” said Dr. Thomas Gutteridge, dean of the College of Business and Innovation. “Their success makes a powerful statement about the quality of UT College of Business and Innovation students, faculty and programs within the field of supply chain management. Congratulations to all for a job extremely well done.”

Our team received an $1,350 award for our first-place finish in the competition.

UT APICS Meeting Time changed to 4:30

The meeting time for the UT APICS meeting this Thursday (March 31) has been changed to 4:30pm.

Jim Craig, Plant Manager for Anderson Development Company, will be coming to speak to our chapter on Thursday, March 31st at 4:30pm in ST 1160 immediately following Professor Sundar’s Quality class.  He will be speaking about toll manufacturing and the challenges it presents to the operations and supply chain organizations.

Refreshments and pizza will be provided.
